My objective is to be 'Your Santa Too'! Since 1993 I have performed as
one of the premiere natural real bearded Santa Claus in the nation.
Performing as your Christmas Event Santa or Father Christmas, I will
bring the spirit and excitement of this jolly soul to your guests in a
very traditional way. As the old world Father Christmas or St
Nicholas, my Irish accent takes your party back with me to the old
world of the simpler forms of Christmas. My long fur lined robes,
festive walking staff, and elegant tunics show your guests what it was
like to visit with the true 'Father of Christmas'. As a colorful, and
cheerful "old style Santa", I bring back those famous Santa Claus
features: the bushy white natural beard, twinkling eyes, golden
glasses, a belly that shakes like jelly, and rosy cheeks. My quick wit
and 'on the fly' North Pole anecdotes make it fun for all the family. I
share the knowledge of the character and Christmas season with the
children and your guests. 'Why is there a Christmas tree decorated with
lights', 'why do we kiss under the Mistletoe', 'why do we put Wreaths
on our doors' are all explained in a story telling way that mesmerizes
young and old. I have many props that can be used
to have the children participate in story telling or daily life at the
pole. Reindeer necks bells, baby reindeer antlers, my magic cell phone
connection, and reindeer tether all are used to bring the North Pole to
the party.
My personal appearances in the home are very dramatic. I tell
stories of my days preparing at the North Pole and bring books to read,
The Polar Express is the best isn't it? And since I have my 'elves'
gather and give me information about the children in the household, I
use my Naughty and Nice List during
the visit and what a powerful embellishment this becomes
to this special visit. 'Great job on that class project, Jimmy';
'Susan, how did it feel when you kicked that goal in soccer?' get the
best reactions and fun things to talk about after Santa leaves. I can
even help enforce a parent's request with basic virtues and discipline.
'Sam, do you think kicking your sister all the time is a nice thing to
do, because I don't ?' gets a big thumbs up from Mom!! Even a personal
conversation with an elf at the North Pole that is wrapping a gift for
that special child is quite possible and so memorable. All this plus
the video and photo moments of me and your family around the fire place
and Christmas tree will be cherished for years.
This
old real bearded Reindeer driver has been trained by the best in the
business and also has attended numerous seminars as well
as teaches within the trade. I have performed on TV, Radio,
modeled for professional studios, magazines, and other print. I
have been master of ceremonies, the highlight of Holiday parades and
Seasonal kickoffs, and interviewed by newspapers and local Minnepolis
magazines. I entertained at weddings, births, engagements,
anniversaries, birthdays, Christmas in July, family reunions, swim
outings, fraternal group and club gatherings, restaurant based
mild and cookies or breakfast with Santa, and special deliveries.
I have entertained small and large corporate parties
of 750 or more with ease and have comforted many organizers’ worries. I
have references from numerous Companies, Fund Raising and Non Profit
Organizations,
Hospitals, and notable celebrities and individuals.
Preparing for a Great Visit from Santa
1.
If Santa is seeing a lot of children I recommend the use of the North
Pole cell phone connection. It gets great response but does require a
Santa Helper in the audience that has to move around to parents of the
children. If it is just a few children in a home visit, before the
party, give me some personal information that only you, the child, and
Santa would know about. The child's age, favorite toy that Santa has
given them, and a major event that the child is proud of or that has
recently happened example: a home run, a star on a school project, or
even helping Mom or Dad around the house.
2. Make sure Santa has a cell phone number for the party just in case of emergencies.
3. Give Santa clear directions to the party location and availability
to the parking areas near by. Santa generally walks in from a
inconspicuous location like an alley, a building that blocks the view
of the arrival and departure, or even a street a block or two away. If
your event is at a company facility, office building or hotel, try to
make arrangements for Santa to park in a valet or loading area. You can
mark the area with a fun sign.."Reserved For Santa". This makes it
easier for me to get in and out easier.
4. Have all your camera gear ready. Have all the videotape, film,
memory sticks, and batteries charged so you wont miss any of those
photo moments. Santa brings a digital camera and likes to get at least
one photo with someone in the party for the web site Gallery. Please
check to see if it is ok to have the picture displayed on this site.
I never post or reference client's names in any web metadata.
4. Santa must have some gifts,
even small ones, for the children. I can arrange to pick up gifts
outside your home, or meet prior to the visit. Have your gifts ready. I
can carry in one bag of presents for children or guests. They should be
well labeled. I suggest a large black marking pen and printing directly
on the gift, as tags can easily fall off. REMEMBER, CHILDREN KNOW THE
GIFT PAPER YOU BUY OR HAVE IN THE HOUSE AND THEY KNOW YOUR
HANDWRITING.... If you have more than one bag, check with Santa since I
can bring more than one toy bag and see if there is a way to have the
gifts available to have "helper's" bring the extra gifts as the bag
gets empty. 5. Get everyone together, before Santa enters. Timing
is everything, if everyone is scattered around the house or office, you
loose valuable time. I am usually very prompt and will call you
if i am going to be more than five minutes late. If Santa is to bring
in presents, the person meeting him can help fill Santa's bag. Then, at
the right moment, Santa can pop in and join everyone. If you have a
large group of children to see Santa, you should assign someone to be
Santa's helper and coordinate the order of children as they each visit
Santa.
6. A large sturdy chair without arms is best for Santa to sit in.
Folding chairs and low chairs (the one's you sink into) are not good.
Santa usually likes a chair that is sturdy and stable. A good
straight-back dining chair works well. Santa likes to sit-up or on the
edge of the chair.
7. Set the chair in a festive setting, usually near your Christmas tree
or other holiday setting. Think of the area as if you were in a photo
studio and arranged your 'props' and 'backdrops'. You can get ideas by
looking at pictures in my gallery. Place a wreath, a few Christmas
cards or your children's drawings on the wall to make a wonderful
difference. Even some cookies and milk make great props. Leave room for
others to gather around and behind Santa's chair for group photos.
8. Think about photos with everyone. Yes, some teenagers will shy away
or think it is too childish to have a photo with Santa. Don't worry;
Santa can stand up for a "buddy" photo. What about grandma and grandpa?
Take a photo with Santa and Grandma Hugging. And, nothing is more fun
than having Santa ask Grandpa if he's been a good boy!
9. If there is a balance or payment due to Santa, place it inside a
Christmas card or envelope. It never looks appropriate when someone is
seen paying Santa. So, as Santa is departing, hand him the envelope and
say, "Thank you Santa, and here is a Christmas card from all of us." And yes, Santa accepts tips.
10. After Santa leaves help the children watch the sky for Santa to fly
off in his sleigh!! Sometimes at night all you see is Rudolph's red
nose. This gives Santa time to leave the building and parking area with
out running into the party goers as they drive out of the parking
lot!!!
